Jade Garden Restaurant
Jade Garden Restaurant, located in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, is a popular Chinese restaurant known for its authentic dishes and warm service. Their previous website was a simple static page that lacked any online ordering capabilities. To meet growing customer demand for convenience and digital access, we redesigned their website and implemented a full-featured online ordering system, providing the restaurant with a new, self-managed sales channel outside of third-party delivery platforms.
The Challenge
Before the redesign, Jade Garden relied heavily on third-party delivery platforms, which charge high commission fees and offer limited control over customer interactions. Their outdated website couldn’t support online orders or dynamic content, leaving them with no choice but to send customers to external apps. This created a dependency that reduced profit margins and diluted their brand presence. The challenge was to provide the restaurant with a fully owned, cost-effective solution that would allow direct online ordering and improve their digital visibility.
SCOPE OF WORK
We redesigned the Jade Garden website using WordPress and WooCommerce, and integrated a robust food ordering system with features tailored to restaurant operations. These included:

Distance-based delivery fee calculation
Automated tax application
Real-time new order alerts
Tipping options at checkout
We also ensured the site was mobile-friendly, SEO-optimized, and visually aligned with the restaurant’s brand. The system is fully managed by the restaurant, offering flexibility and scalability without ongoing platform fees.
Final Results Of The Project
The new website, mjjadegarden.com, now serves as a powerful, self-managed ordering platform. It allows Jade Garden to accept direct orders, retain more profit, and reduce dependency on expensive third-party apps like DoorDash. With full control over their ordering system, the restaurant has improved operational efficiency and significantly boosted its online sales. The site provides a better user experience, strengthens customer relationships, and sets the foundation for continued digital growth.
